defiance.

The two-way street of my consciousness
Is under siege.

Bombarded with zooming thoughts and impulses
Darting in and out at a moment's whim.

Want this.
Do that.

Too much clutter.

Clear your mind.

Breathe.

I stop to close my eyes,
And rejoice in beautiful silence.

The logic of my unsettled mind
Gives way to the feelings
Of my restless heart.

The slightest of tremors
Ripples through my very being
And grips me at my core.

I can hear you.

Like a flower swelling with emotion,
Defiantly spawning from the cracks
And depths of my subconscious.

Ready to burst.
Ready to bloom.

Suppressed.
And still you rise.

I can no longer deny it.

These thoughts,
These feelings.

Of you.

flawed.

We are all flawed, and I find it absolutely beautiful.

quiet strength.

The wise person acts without effort and teaches by quiet example. He accepts things as they come, creates without possessing, nourishes without demanding, accomplishes without taking credit. Because he constantly forgets himself, he is never forgotten.
